While waiting on other parts/tools I proceeded with riveting the elevator trim bracket. I also wanted to test fit the motor and figure out what I am going to do with the wiring. The Ray Allen servo has short wires and I’ll probably use a panel mount CPC connecter riveted to the side of the bracket.
I riveted the parts together and ended up one rivet short (an AN426AD4-8). I have a few more rivets that I would like to get for brackets etc. so I’ll place an order with Van’s soon.
The tab on the servo needs to be filed down to fit the spacer. I also had to sand down the bellcrank washers as the fit was a little too tight.
I test fit the trim cables to see how they would align and everything looked good. It feels good to be getting close to the assembly stage of the empennage.
