My Boeing Design Anti-Slip Flush Rivet Set order arrived today. Wow, game-changer, so much easier to control. The polyurethane ring around the edge of the set is firm but soft enough to keep it from sliding on the skin. The ring also helps with keeping the set perpendicular while protecting the skin. I also didn’t have to use any tape which made the process more efficient.
I completed riveting the skins to the bottom of the inspar ribs and I completed all of the rivets along the top of the front spar.
The rivets came out great. There is some very slight deformation of the skins but consistently less than before. The flush rivets look similar to those set with a squeezer.
Success. I had to wrap up early this evening but I’m looking forward to getting the stabilizer finished up.
