With the interior painting complete it was time to permanently attach the cabin top.
We mixed up flox per the plans to fill the areas around the door opening and lowered the top into place. We had to work quickly to add the screws as it has been hot here and the epoxy cured quickly.
We pulled back the rear baggage bulkhead while lowering the top into place to provide some clearance for pulling conduit through from the overhead console. I had previously 3d printed some split-bushings to secure the conduit into place. I’ll seal this off later with RTV as the overhead console is pressurized with outside air. I’ll also use RTV to seal the overhead console to the aft baggage bulkhead.
The side skins were then blind-riveted to the cabin top with the backing strips.
Another part mounted for the last time!
