I’m working on getting firewall components prepared before installing the upper forward section.
I have chosen to use VTE Copper Core Power Bushings. These use an anti-rotation cutout and are rated for 550 amps at 12 volts. The threaded shaft is nickel-plated steel, allowing high torque to be applied.
I marked cutout locations beside the existing firewall holes. I plan to close off the stock holes.
I drilled the initial holes with a step drill, expanded the holes with a nibbler, and finished the holes with a Dremel carbide drum.
