I will be installing a Garmin G3X 3-axis autopilot (pitch+roll+yaw). The pitch and yaw servos attach to the bellcrank mount so I prepped these prior to disassembling the tailcone.
It is possible to modify the cheaper Vans yaw servo bracket for the RV-10 but I decided to go with the Garmin bracket to keep it simple. The brackets have sharp edges so I deburred the brackets and spacer and clecoed them into place. I then match drilled the yaw damper bracket to the F-1007 frame with a #30 reamer.
I’ll prime these brackets when I prime the rest of the tailcone parts.
