Built two worktables today. I started with the EAA Chapter 1000 design and added a few customizations of my own.
I modified the tables to provide an overhang on the sides/ends to provide an easier way to clamp materials along the edge. I also raised the tables by a few inches so that I can use them as outfeed tables for my table saw when needed.
I recently built a miter station and I designed it that so that the work tables could be stored underneath when not in use. I also designed retractable landing gear so that I can move them around easily. The retractable gear activates with a foot pedal. At least the mechanism works in Solidworks.. I need to pick up some hinges to try them out.
